Don't Whine

After graduated from the University, i got a decent job and now having a stable income. Recently there are a few things that really hits me, things like "How to gauge success in life?" and is "rich means power and status". As what Christian going to say, i am going to conform to the world. I watched the channelnewsaisa and they are showing the young successful people, people at my age earning millions of dollars, and having their own family business, no doubt that you would said that it is their family business but the thing is, i felt that why i can't match up with them? I was wonder why some people can be so successful and why some people like me can't. All these thoughts kept going and going in my mind and making me craZy.

Then something hits me, is the Youth ministry bulletin. It was my first time attending that ministry.

The title is "Don't Whine"

It goes like that . . .

Don’t Whine!

Today, upon a bus, I saw a lovely girl with golden hair,

Envied her, she seemed so gay, and wished I were so fair.

When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle;

She had one leg, and wore a crutch; and as she passed – a smile.

Oh God, forgive me when I whine

I have two legs. The world is mine

And then I stopped to buy some sweets.

The lad who sold them had such charm,

I talked with him – seemed so glad – if I were late ‘twould

do no harm

And as I left he said to me: “I thank you. You have been so kind.

It’s nice to talk with folks like you.

“You see,” he said, “I’m blind.”

Oh God, forgive me when I whine

I have two eyes. The world is mine.

Later, walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes of blue,

He stood and watched the others play, it seemed he knew not what to do.

I stopped a moment, then I said:”Why don’t you join the others, dear?”

He looked ahead without a word, and then I knew

-- he could not hear.

Oh God, forgive me when I whine

I have two ears, The world is mine.

With legs to take me where I’d go –

With eyes to see the sunset’s glow –

With ears to hear what I would know –

Oh God, forgive me when I whine

I’m blessed indeed. The world is mine.

When you feel down and depressed and thinking God has given you too many troubles. Why not to think about the things you do have. Just this one little idea can turn your whole outlook on life for the better.
